ESNS is a joyful and community-centered nursery school where children explore and learn through play.
We believe learning is an interactive process that requires active thinking and experimenting though child-led and teacher-supported exploration.
We have two class groups: a three-year old class that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a four-year-old class that meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Our adult-child ratio is approximately 1:5.
Applications open on September 1 for the following school year. Class spots are offered in March preceding the school year.
We are experimenting with density in our sensory table. Which objects will sink and which objects will float? We make observations and then make a prediction. Special challenge: Can you make a sinking item float or a floating item sink?
A box can be so many things! In our Dramatic Play area this month boxes are becoming any kind of vehicle we can imagine. A submarine to Antarctica? A bus to a park? A rocket ship to the moon? Grab your map (and an imagination) and start your journey. These friends are riding in a truck to Alaska!
